# Set up your team

Everyone starts in **Personal**, a workspace that is just them. To work with others, make one shared workspace beside it and invite people there.

## 1. Make a shared workspace

Open the workspace name at the top of the web app and choose **New workspace**. You can have 1 workspace beside Personal; you are its Owner.

## 2. Invite people

In **Settings, People**, choose **Invite** and pick a role:

- **Owner:** everything, including billing, keys, members and the spend limit. An Owner owns every Model.
- **Member:** makes Models, asks for Changes and starts them within the spend limit. A Model's owners approve and roll back that Model.
- **Viewer:** reads Models, scores and usage, and changes nothing.

Invited people skip the waitlist: they sign in with the email you invited. Personal takes no invites.

## 3. Point your coding agent at it

Once you belong to a shared workspace, your coding agent acts there, so teammates see the Models it makes. A draft's review names the workspace before you say yes. With only Personal, it acts in Personal.

To pick a different workspace:

1. Copy the **Workspace ID** from **Settings, General** in the shared workspace.
2. Add Facet with it in the URL. In Claude Code:

```sh
claude mcp add --transport http facet-team "https://facet.halfspacelabs.com/mcp?workspace=ws_..."
```

Other agents take the same URL, or the `X-MCP-Workspace` header; see [Use Facet from an agent](/docs/agents#toolsets-and-modes).

## 4. Choose who approves

- **Quotes:** nothing spends money until a person says yes, in the agent or in the web app.
- **Merges:** by default a Ready Change merges on its own. Turn on **Approve each merge** under a Model's **Settings, Merging** to have one of its owners approve each one; waiting approvals show under **Approvals**, and its owners get an email when one waits.
- **Spend:** an Owner sets the workspace's monthly spend limit in **Settings, Billing**.

## 5. Keys for your apps

Make an API key per app under **Settings, Keys**, limited to one Model when you can. When you remove someone, the keys they made are revoked with them unless you turn that off in the dialog, so check first that no app still runs on one.
